Welcome to Royal Oils. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (royaloils.co.za) and any purchases you make from us. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms comply with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa.

Royal Oils sells 100% pure essential oils sourced from Madagascar. All products are intended for aromatherapy and topical use (when properly diluted with a carrier oil) only.

Important: Our essential oils are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a healthcare professional before using essential oils, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or are taking medication.

3. Placing an Order

• By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
• All orders are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including pricing errors on our website.
• An order is only confirmed once you receive an order confirmation email from us.
• We reserve the right to limit quantities per customer.

4. Pricing & Payment

• All prices on our website are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
• We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. However, any price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
• Payment is processed securely through SnapScan. We accept Visa, Mastercard, EFT, SnapScan.
• Orders will only be dispatched once full payment has been received.

6. Returns & Refunds

Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details on cooling-off rights, defective product returns, and the refund process, in compliance with the CPA and ECTA.

7. Cooling-Off Period (ECTA Section 44)

As an online shopper, you have the right to cancel your purchase and return goods within 7 days of delivery, without penalty and without giving a reason, provided the goods are unopened and in their original condition. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for details.

8. Product Use & Safety

• Essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care.
• Always dilute essential oils with a suitable carrier oil before applying to the skin.
• Perform a patch test before first use.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
• If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional.
• Royal Oils is not liable for any adverse reactions resulting from misuse or failure to follow recommended safety guidelines.

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, product names, and design elements — is the property of Royal Oils and is protected by South African copyright and intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

10. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Your personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with POPIA. By using our website, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Royal Oils provides products in good faith and to the best quality standards. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific order.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the CPA that cannot be lawfully excluded.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Royal Oils harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of our products, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Force Majeure

Royal Oils shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, government actions, power outages, or courier service disruptions.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of our website after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Royal Oils regarding your use of our website and purchase of our products.
